Our History

Founded By 2 Female Advocates In Different African Countries

ACLN was founded by two female advocates and friends located in 2 different African countries.

Brenda Mpanga of BNM Advocates Uganda and Dr. Cathy Mputhia of C.Mputhia Advocates Kenya had worked together and collaborated on various cross border briefs. During their collaborative engagement they discovered that they shared a common vision, served almost similar clientele and were of similar size. They shared a common goal of serving the wider African market.

They both saw an opportunity present in the current African regional integration. Merging Brenda’s passion for the career growth of female advocates and Cathy’s passion for working with different teams from diverse countries, ACLN was born. Our membership is largely comprised of female driven mid-size law firms across the African region.
